Basic characteristics of all animals:
-All animals are eukaryotes.
-All animals are heterotrophs.
-Animals are multicellular. Most animals (with the exception of sponges) have bodies that are differentiated into tissues.
-Most animals are capable of movement.
-Most animals undergo sexual reproduction although a small number are capable of asexual reproduction.
-Most animals are diploid.
-Animals do not possess rigid cell walls whereas plants do have rigid cell walls.

-It is a vertebrete

-Hippopotamus amphibius
-Lives is Africa, below the Sahara to above the southernmost section.
-In the wild it eats soft short grass, and other plants, and fruits that have fallen. In the zoo it eats a herbivore diet.
-It moves by walking on its legs.
-It reproduces sexually.
